Jeff Grobman, PhD

VP of Analytics

Dr. Jeff Grobman is the Vice President of Analytics for DEFCON AI. He joined DEFCON AI from the Cost Assessment & Program Evaluation organization in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he led a division responsible for Deputy Secretary of Defense-directed studies. He also led divisions responsible for assessing plans, programs, and budgets for the Military Health System and most recently Department-wide tactical aviation. Prior to this, Dr. Grobman spent 20 years as an officer and operations research analyst in the United States Air Force working on personnel analytics, space system design, tactical aviation force structure, and space-based reconnaissance systems. He has taught operations research and mathematics as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, Virginia Tech, and the Colorado School of Mines and as an Assistant Professor at the United States Air Force Academy.

Dr. Grobman has a BS in Applied Mathematics from the United States Air Force Academy, a MS in Industrial Engineering from St. Mary’s University (TX), and a PhD in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines.
