why defcon ai
Modern operations are defined by uncertainty. Global disruption, contested environments, and tightly coupled systems have exposed the limits of traditional planning and static decision tools across both military and commercial domains. Leaders need the ability to understand how complex systems behave, evaluate alternatives in real time, and make decisions before disruptions cascade.
DEFCON AI was cofounded in 2022 to meet a direct request from the Department of War for a planning tool to address uncertain futures in the event of contested logistics. Our mission was to deliver a decision-augmentation capability that could support operational- level planning and training at the speed and scale required for modern conflict.
From the outset, DEFCON AI was built to close the gap between advanced algorithms and real-world operations. Since then, we have rapidly transitioned concepts into a mission-ready, AI-powered platform.
