Lead Optimization Modeler

Dr. Steve Baker is the Lead Optimization Modeler at DEFCON AI. His prior analytical experience includes 3 years of private consulting, 12 years with the MITRE Corp, and 3 tours on the USAF Academy Faculty and Commandant’s staff. He has conducted analyses for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Air Mobility Command, Air Force Space Command, the National Reconnaissance Office, US Customs and Border Protection Agency, and other organizations. While a colonel at the Academy, Dr. Baker was a Senior Military Professor and commanded at the Squadron and Group echelons. He also served as a C-141 Instructor and Special Operations Low-Level Navigator, and a Wing-level tactical mission planner.

Dr. Baker holds a BS from the USAF Academy, an MS from the AF Institute of Technology, an MA from the Naval War College, and a PhD from the Naval Postgraduate School.
