Stephen Malone, PhD

Senior Analyst

Dr. Stephen Malone is a Senior Analyst at DEFCON AI. He joined DEFCON AI after working with Amazon Robotics where he led modeling, simulation, and optimization of robotic systems for the latest generation of Amazon fulfillment centers. Prior to this, Dr. Malone worked for ManTech International as a Senior Operations Research Analyst where he modeled theater-level conflicts for Air Force Research Division at the Pentagon. Dr. Malone earned a commission in the Army Reserves in 2015 as a Signal Officer and currently serves as a Captain in the Army Reserves.

Dr. Malone has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
