Stephen Malone, PhD

Deputy VP of Analytics

Dr. Stephen Malone is the Deputy VP of Analytics at DEFCON AI. Originally joining the team as a Senior Analyst, he made significant contributions to enhance the company’s data analytics capabilities. Previously, Dr. Malone worked with Amazon Robotics where he led modeling, simulation, and optimization of robotic systems for the latest generation of Amazon fulfillment centers. Prior to this, he worked for ManTech International as a Senior Operations Research Analyst where he modeled theater-level conflicts for Air Force Research Division at the Pentagon. He earned a commission in the Army Reserves in 2015 as a Signal Officer and currently serves as a Captain.

Dr. Malone has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, all from Georgia Institute of Technology.
